Contextualising rural entrepreneurship – A strong structuration perspective on gendered-local agency

This article employs Stones’ (2005) Strong Structuration Theory (SST) to contextualise rural entrepreneurship. Through shadowing a single case study of woman entrepreneur from Sweden, we propose gendered-local agency as operationalisation active in practice. While SST positions property agents, demonstrate it is that intertwined with both agents and structure. Simultaneously enabled constrained, itself becomes contextualised within gender-related locality-related rural-specific interplay modifies, preserves challenges structures. The contributes the literature on contextualising entrepreneurship through structuration lens by signifying manifestation between contexts environments (out there) context constructed (through entrepreneurs). conceptualisation proposes everyday demonstration action, thus setting foundation for exploring context-specific agent-structure others.
